provides products and consulting services from its office in Burlington, Ontario, Canada.
Founded in 1997 by Jeff Bowden, the company has
expanded its client base from a single Fortune 500 company to a wide range of
government organizations, business associations and corporations. Our
communications and marketing services have helped these organizations develop
their corporate identity, improve their communications and hone their marketing
efforts. The power of the web allows Nexus to deliver solutions virtually,

Jeff
Bowden, President
Prior to starting Nexus in
January 1997, Jeff was communications coordinator for two years at Laidlaw Waste
Systems. At Laidlaw Waste, he was responsible for writing and publishing
communications pieces to 5,600 employees; developing the municipal markets
including municipal bid proposals; preparing appropriate public responses to
government initiatives; and training managers in communications and media
relations’ techniques.
From 1995 to 1996, Jeff worked
at Laidlaw Inc. as government relations researcher. In this role, he developed
case studies on public-private partnerships, created a database to track
political and business activities related to Laidlaw’s locations across North
America, and provided political briefs for use in presentations and policy
formation.
Prior to joining Laidlaw, Jeff
was Liaison Officer at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario. He
travelled throughout Ontario making over 100 presentations to prospective
university students about Laurier’s academic and extra-curricular programs.
Jeff is a graduate of Wilfrid
Laurier University with an Honours B.A. in Political Science and English. During
his student career, Jeff was actively involved in student politics and
university affairs.
Jeff currently lives in
Burlington, Ontario and is an active member of his community and several
business organizations.
